11.5 Inventory Management

In the Inventory section, a user is able to perform transactions against the inventory, assign inventory to bins, and view inventory transaction history.

As with all screens within MarginPoint, the company navigation tree will dictate what inventory items are currently being viewed. Whatever company is selected in the company tree will be the company inventory that is currently being viewed.

This guide will not detail each inventory function that can be performed, but the guide will cover many of the most common inventory transactions Issuing Material

Performing an issue transaction (issuing an item without a requisition) is usually done by a storeroom manager who is responsible for the issuance of material from the storeroom(s) he/she is responsible for managing. The system administrator must have granted permission to issue items from the selected inventory location. The user will also have privileges to issue material against the reference codes used. Issues can only be done for storeroom and mobile storeroom type stocking locations. Issues from POU devices are performed by the machine.
