- At the far left of the home screen, click the Company tab to display the company navigation tree.
- In the Company Tree, click the company to which the classification belongs.
- In the menu bar, click the Administration drop-down.
- Click the System Configuration option in the drop-down. The Administration> System Configuration ribbon bar will open.
- In the Consumption Limits box on the ribbon bar, click the Manage Consumption Limits drop-down and choose New Consumption Limit. The Consumption Limits window will appear.
- Use the Company Name drop-down to select the company to which this consumption limit will apply.
- Type a name for the consumption limit in the Name field.
- Type a description for the consumption limit in the Description
- If the consumption limit is going to be enforced by location, then select the inventory location. If no location is selected, the consumption limit will be enforced across all inventory locations that stock the specific item.
- Choose whether the consumption limit will be by a specific item or by an item classification group. Whichever option is chosen a value will need to be selected.
- Also choose whether to limit the item consumption by department of job function. Again, whichever option is chosen a value will need to be selected.
- Type the item limit quantity in the Limit Value text field.
- Click one of the radio buttons to select when the time limit for the consumption limit. The consumption limit are reset at midnight of the end of work period. For weekly limits, the limit reset occurs at 11:59pm on Sunday night.
- Click Save to create the new consumption limit.
